Smitec is the company division specialized in the design and manufacture of integrated components and systems for the automation and control of industrial machines.
Constant investments in R&D have enabled our laboratories to devise and realize more and more innovative solutions, such as the MotorNet System (MNS)®, for the automation and control of Smiflexi, Smiform and Smipal machinery.
The MotorNet System (MNS)® is based on the SERCOS interface™ fieldbus, an international standard especially suitable for motion control applications in multi-axes plants, allowing high-speed data transmission via optical fibre.
The SERCOS interface™ research and development association, of which also the Smigroup is part, counts amongst its members well-known companies such as ABB, Bosch, Rockwell Automation and Toshiba.
Smitec also offers and markets solutions based on the PROFIBUS and CAN Open fieldbuses, for the automation and control of other types of industrial processes.

» Other hardware devices: control panels for the control and automation of low-medium speed manual, semi-automatic and automatic packaging machines.
» Industrial software: complete packages dedicated to the control of SMITec hardware products, to the planning of routine maintenance and extraordinary repairs, to the supervision of a single machine (pMES), of more machines (pMES-NET) or of a complete line (MES-PRO).

Each electronic component is assembled by high-precision automatic machines; all finished products are carefully tested in a special climatic room by subjecting them to thorough trials of resistance to heat (from + 5 to + 55° C), resistance from vibration and resistance to stress.
Only after successfully passing all tests, the finished products are deemed fit for use.
